Get in Touch

Alabama Busted Mugshots is a private reference website, not a government office. We cannot confirm someone's custody or release, provide or remove a booking photograph, or retrieve an official record. Contact the agency that made the booking or holds the file.

Find the Record Holder

The right office depends on where the arrest happened and what record you need. Alabama's counties keep local booking systems, while ADOC maintains a separate state-prison locator and record-request process.

  • County arrest or booking: choose the arrest county in the Alabama County Directory. Its sheriff or jail is the starting point for a roster, booking date, or local records request.
  • State-prison profile or ADOC record: use the ADOC guide for the inmate locator and Form 23-A request route. The department lists its public-record contact at ADOC About; its published contact is public.records@doc.alabama.gov and 334-353-3883. Central Records is listed at 334-353-9738. Confirm current contact details and instructions on the official page before sending a request.
  • Court case or disposition: contact the clerk for the court where the case was filed. A court docket is not a current jail-custody check.
  • Federal custody: the Bureau of Prisons locator covers federal prison custody and does not provide booking photographs. ICE detention uses a separate ICE detainee locator.

For a specific county's hours, contact information, or request form, use that office's current official website. A booking entry is an accusation, not a conviction, and only the responsible agency can confirm whether its information has changed.
